Vice President Credit Underwriting, Independent Lessor.

Location: Midwest

Opportunity:  This self-funded independent, with north of 100mm in annual originations and north of 200mm+ in assets under management, is well positioned to continue its growth and success as more banks exit our market and the environment shifts to favor independents.  To help handle and facilitate their growth, they are seeking a Credit Leader who is more than just an underwriter who checks the work of more junior underwriters.  You will be tasked with providing strategic leadership for the credit department with an eye towards growing, rather than maintaining, their portfolio.  You’ll work hand in hand with senior executive leadership to help set credit and risk policy, with responsibility for managing the day to day tasks of the department, training and mentoring your team, and getting involved in the more complex and detailed credit analysis.
